Boycott général !

Fuck you Facebook. That was the first thought I had when I woke up this morning. Followed by: What ministry is Mark Zuckerberg volunteering to manage for the dictators of the world?

So much depends on exactly how Meta’s system will work in practice. But between the moderation changes and the community guidelines overhaul, Facebook, Instagram, and Threads are careening toward a world where anyone can say that gay and trans people have a “mental illness,” where AI slop will proliferate even more aggressively, where outrageous claims spread unchecked, where truth itself is malleable.

Ce discours marque un tournant dans la révolution numérique. Cette remarque n’a rien d'exagéré. Facebook s’est construit sur la monétisation de la rage et de l’outrance. A ce titre, le réseau social (et ses dépendances) est devenue une puissante bombe à fragmenter les démocraties. Le voici aujourd’hui qui fait allégeance à une administration autocratique, imprévisible et hégémonique (cf le feuilleton sur le Groenland et Panama). Tout cela n’a rien de fun.
